Unfortunately, the textile industry is one of the most polluting, which is why, as a conscious company, we seek to have less impact on the environment over the years. At CHARLY we seek that our raw materials, apart from being functional, are friendly to the environment.

The bottles are collected, trimmed, crushed and washed into small pieces, which are then melted and a resin is generated, which melts into a liquid polymer and comes out as a fiber. From there it is spun and textured, thus having the fabric with which we generate the products.
We work with different suppliers that work on the conversion of PET to yarn to reduce waste and consume recycled raw material.
Knowing that one of the main items that pollutes the most is PET, we seek to make raw material from it. Using recycled polyester instead of virgin polyester, thus reducing carbon emissions, and giving the bottles a second life. In this way we keep plastic away from the oceans and landfills.
Recycling 5 half-liter PET bottles makes it possible to make 1 meter of fabric with 50% recovered polyester, saving 2,500 liters of water and 20kw of energy!
